Race Day Registration Still Open! Sign up your pup for a dog-specific race benefiting the Carrollton Animal Services and Adoption Center. The race will start at the newly constructed McInnish Dog Park in Carrollton, and will route through the sports complex for a full 5K. A shorter route will be offered to smaller or older dogs, or dogs who will still be working off some holiday weight. Don’t have a dog? You can still participate! Or swing by the Adoption Center where your new best friend is waiting for you!
Join Excellence ER Lakewood for a fun 1 mile dog walk event as we help raise donations for MADE in Texas Assistance Dogs. MADE trains service dogs for children and adults that have disabilities. These service dogs are used as mobility assistance dogs, PTSD assistance dogs, autism assistance dogs, and diabetic alert dogs. For every walker and dog walker that attends, Excellence ER Lakewood will donate $1 to this amazing non-profit organization. They will have free snacks, prize drawings, t-shirts and more! Bring your dog along for the 1 mile walk or if you do not have a dog that is totally okay, you may come and do the walk and meet MADE in Texas Assistance Dogs.

Join Krewe of Barkus for their 15th annual run. They promise it'll be a howling hoot! In past years, more than 250 dogs participated in the parade alongside more than 4,500 spectators in awe of costumes, creatures and creativity. Patterned after the Mystic Krewe of Barkus in New Orleans, which was established to help abused and abandoned canines, Krewe of Barkus will feature a parade, vendor booths, interactive activities and more. Realizing that every good story has a bad guy, we are going to have a little fun with the theme – "Barkus Gone Bad – A Salute To Our Favorite Villains."
For the public: Come watch a live agility dog competition! Show dogs compete to win ribbons and titles at all levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors! It is free to attend and parking is free. There will be a BBQ food truck and vendors.For the agility competitors: USDAA event withStarters, Advanced, and Masters levels titling classes as well as Tournament events. Carol Mount will be our judge.
